I am Lisa Rooms, 28 years old. In my youth I played soccer, but after participating in a school cross country, athletics soon joined me. I grew steadily to international level.
I broke through with a 5th place finish at the European Championships for Under-23s in 2017. After that, many championships followed, both in cross-country running and on the track. My absolute highlights were my 6th place at the European Cross Country Championships in Brussels as well as my participation in the Paris Olympics.
In general, I am a busy bee. I combined my sport with my studies in physical therapy and rehabilitation sciences at KU Leuven. Meanwhile, I work half-time as a staff member at G-sport Flanders and I still work one day a week as kine pediatrics.
I hope to develop even further as an athlete in the future and be at the Olympics again within three years.
